Surge Price

 

Surge pricing is a dynamic pricing strategy where fares increase temporarily based on high demand, low supply, or specific conditions such as peak hours, bad weather, or special events.

Steps to add surge - 

1. Click on new surge pricing

Surge Setup Form

• Surge Title*
   Enter a surge title (e.g., Christmas Eve Surge)
  
  

• Start Date*
   Select the date when the surge starts
  
  

• End Date
   Select the end date for the surge (optional)
  
  

• Start Time
   Time when the surge begins each day
  
  

• End Time
   Time when the surge ends each day
  
  

• Surge Type*
   Select how the surge should apply:
  
  

• Multiplier – Multiply base fare (e.g., 1.5x)
  
  

• Flat – Add a fixed amount to the fare
  
  

• Surge Value*
   Enter the multiplier or flat value (based on surge type)
  
  

• Day(s) of the Week
   Select the day(s) on which this surge should apply (e.g., Friday, Saturday)

"Save" and "Cancel" buttons are available at the top of the form:

Save – to save the surge details

Cancel – to discard changes and exit the form

Edit and Delete functionality-

After saving a surge, it appears on the List of All Discounts page.
 Clicking a surge opens its Details Page with options to Edit or Delete.

• Edit: Modify all surge information like previous, and a new field- Status will be there with the option of Active and Inactive
  
  

• Delete: Remove the discount permanently.

After creating a surge, all of them become available for use in Pricing Rules.
