Create a fixed route
The "Add Fixed Route" functionality within the Geo Module is designed to set up and manage consistent, predefined routes within the system. Here’s a breakdown of the form and process:

Form Fields for Creating a Fixed Route:
-
Route Name*: Users must provide a distinctive name for the fixed route, which will be used as an identifier throughout the system. This is a mandatory field to ensure each route can be uniquely recognized.
-
Zone: This dropdown allows users to associate the new route with a particular zone, establishing its operational area within the larger network. The zone selection can affect various factors, such as fare calculations and service availability.
-
Stations: Here, users add the stops or waypoints that define the path of the fixed route. The interface allows for dynamic interaction, where users can add new stations, enter their details, and reposition them to reflect the actual travel sequence. The system acknowledges the first station as the starting point and the last station as the destination.
-
SL.: The sequence number of the station in the route.
-
Existing or New Station: Users can choose between adding a new station or selecting an existing one.
-
Display Name, Address & Location: For each station, users input the name and address, which can be used for display on maps and route planning.
-
Time: Users have the option to add time-related information, possibly to indicate the average wait or stop duration at each station.
-

Saving the Fixed Route:
Once the required information is filled in, the user can:
-
Click the Save button to store the newly created route within the system.
-
Use the Cancel button if they decide not to proceed with the route creation.

This interface streamlines the process of adding structured routes to the system, which is essential for operational planning, navigation assistance, and enhancing customer service by providing predictable and reliable transportation options.
